Your mom did well in surgery yesterday. They retrieved 21 eggs. It is somewhat coincidental because your mom and I like to card count for blackjack. So we thought it might be a sign for good luck.
One day later: I was taking Zeke for a walk while your mom got the call from ORM with the results, which sucked because I wasn’t able to be there to be for your mom. Your mom was hoping for at least 10. I was hoping the number was not zero. When I came home from the walk I could tell your mom was upset so I thought the worse. They told her that of the lucky 21, 16 eggs were mature and of those only 8 became embryos. So your mom was a little disappointed. She just wants things to go right. We both do.
Today is the first day of the first round of the 2016 NCAA basketball tourney. You will watch this tourney every year. It seems like there is a tourney right now inside these Petri dishes. The dance began with 21. Some advanced to the sweet 16 and in 24 hours the pool has reached the elite 8. On Monday we see how many will survive the next five days. Be strong baby Davids.
