Stim (stimulation) Day refers to the number of days you’ve been stimulating your ovaries through injections. So this was my third day of shots. Patrick and I did a Menopur in the morning and Follistim in the evening. The Menopur helps my follies grown and the Follistim tells my body to grow all follicles, not just the one that is the largest, like in a natural cycle. As my follicles grow, my estrogen level will increase. During the ultrasound, Dr. Bankowski saw good number of follicles on each side, but for whatever reason, my right ovary was hiding and it was difficult to get a good count. Right now, he is counting about 20 follicles. As they grow, this count can change and especially on the right side. To be honest, seeing the way the right side looked really worried me, but Dr. B ensured me it was just my anatomy.
Later in the afternoon, Rachel called me to tell me my Estrogen was up to over 200 and they were happy with the number. All good news today, but I’m still worried about my right ovary.
